The Nights Are Drawing In — and Sloe Gin Is Right on Time

October arrives differently on the Cumbrian coast. The light drops earlier, the sea mist rolls in from the Solway, and the air carries that particular chill that tells you summer is properly gone. It is the kind of evening that asks for something with depth — something that feels as though it was made for exactly this moment.
That is what Stanaways Sloe Gin is.
Handcrafted in small batches in Whitehaven, it starts with our own gin base, aged on oak chips with sloes and blended with herbs to give it a layered, full-bodied character. What you get in the glass is deep berry richness, warmth that builds slowly, and a finish that lingers just long enough to make you reach for another sip. It is not a light drink for a light evening. It is the one you pour when the nights get real.
At 40.6% ABV, it earns its place neat or over a single large ice cube — let it open up for a moment and it will reward you. For something a little longer, try it as a Sloe Gin Fizz: Sloe Gin over ice, topped with lemonade and a slice of lemon, and suddenly you have the kind of fireside drink people ask you to make twice. It works just as well with tonic if you want something a touch drier.
Sloe Gin has always belonged to autumn. This one was made to remind you why.
